Based on the #1 instrument of a famous Texas guitar player whose tone could only be described as Monstrous!
The Crossfire Body is a 2 piece alder body specially routed and contoured to match the $20k+ custom shop version! Just like the original, this body features an "original" right handed tremolo route that got modified for a left-handed trem, and had the excess plugged with mahogany. It also has a "tear out" inside the back spring cavity. We made sure the grain orientation was correct so when you age this body (or play the hell out of it), it will wear above the pickguard in the same way!
 
The neck is truly where the magic is- we dug deep into the wood library to find a straight-grained, old-growth Brazilian Rosewood fretboard, installed veneer style just like the original.
Aged clay dots including the "broken" 9th fret marker. The neck profile came from public (and some not so public) data and scans of both the original and the 20k custom shop. The profile is somewhere between a C and a V down low and rounds out into a very comfortable C shape- .83-.95 inches first to 12th.
